A theater experience by Diana Lynn Small
I produced a series of “made-for-karaoke” singalongs for an experiential theater piece, as part of Diana Lynn Small’s graduate work at the Michener Center @ UT Austin.
Lots of the samples/source material in the music is from field recordings taken by Diana Lynn Small.
You’ll notice the pieces are meant for being sung along to, so there's no lead vocal track - the robot choir of backing vocals are all that remain :)
I also made a piece that was played on repeat for the audience as they walked around and experienced different sections of the play.
The pieces are glittery and dirty, and at times even chiptuney.
