Trevor Welch was born in 1988 in Castro Valley, California and studied music at Westmont College where he earned a B.A. in Music with a focus in composition.
As a film score composer he has written music for many independent films, including: Chicken Suit (2013), The Wilderness (2011), The Sacrifice of Old San Juan (2009), and The Novelist (2008). He has written music for commercials including a recent piece for Aston Martin.
As a multi-instrumentalist he has performed actively in bands signed to Epic Records, Warner Bros., and MCA Records.
He worked under Grammy award winning producer/engineer Jim Scott from 2007-2008, a period that saw him working with a diverse range of artists, including: Augustana, Tom Morello, Sean & Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek), Kathleen Edwards, Benmont Tench (of Tom Petty & The Hearbreakers), Delta Spirit and Chad Smith (of Red Hot Chili Peppers) .
As a producer he has worked to shape music spanning genres from classical art music to country to club electronic. In 2010, he co-created an ocean/ballad concept album, Water Will Rise, under the band name Patience with artists James Hapke and Diana Small. In January 2013 he completed production for Trevor Borden’s Giants EP.
As an electronic music artist/producer under the moniker Tommy Noble, his remix of “Blackout”, originally by Breathe Carolina, debuted at #1 on the iTunes Dance Music Charts, and he has toured with the likes of Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Porter Robinson, and Datsik.
